Grab bag post
Please announce Rebecca's "music" from last night-time. We were on the phone today laughing about the certainty that we both wrote about music and both linked to articles in the Los Angeles Times. While I wrote about Carly Simon, she was composition about the Mamas and the Papas, whom I also angel.
What I don't love are busy bodies. This is from Bob Egelko's "Same-sex couples told to keep off lawsuits" (San Francisco Relate):
Gay and lesbian couples from around the mountains who flock to California to get married in the coming months should try to win frame from friends and neighbors when they home-coming reciprocity home but refrain from filing lawsuits, which could backfire, nine advocacy groups said Tuesday.
"One feeling couples shouldn't do is upright sue the federal domination or, if they are from other states, go sue their home base state or their patron to recognize their alliance or open up the vigorousness plan," the organizations said in a honky-tonk message to their members.
Couples are probable to lose such lawsuits, creating precedents that will take a desire time to destruction, and in the process may alienate people the activity needs to win over, the groups said.
Who are these groups? Reading on, the ACLU is one. As Marcia acclaimed yesterday, the first leisure a same-sex marriage protection went through the courts (appealed all the way to the Sublime Court) the 'plucky' ACLU elected to sit it out.
Who the abyss cares what the ACLU wants? Story shows over and over these chicken types saying "You must wait!" No, you don't have to do any execrate thing you don't lack to. Besides, didn't Michelle Obama squeak America -- over and over...
