Personal Poem | Northwest Adventure
In person Poem | Northwest Endanger
Into the truck
with camper in tow
to the North and West
for two weeks we’ll go
Not much planned
except to get to at a peak
known as Mt Ranier
a kismet to seek
deviant weather
sweating in the nineties
I open to question
my collection priorities
Then estimable weather
with Ranier in full watch
now that we’ve seen it
what else do we do?
Out to the seaside
though the weather not wholesome
I get a new jacket
with insulation and a hood
Cloak Disappointment
though the name is actual
only the weather
had that namesake abide
Yet the clouds short up
as we left the shore
off to Mt St Helen’s
and her eruptive ghosts
Yet Astoria called us
the famed Columbia Bar
no, not for libations
but great ships from afar
Now to the volcano
with a preferably forecast
overwhelmed by the views
and the slaying so vast
Fair a small volcano
still blowing some steam
it seems like the 80s
were part of a flight of fancy
and onto Portland
for a several of days
justified wanting some sunshine
at least a match up of rays
Because on our way back
we’ll be dying Mt Hood
and we need to see it
the best that we could
I estimate we’ll stay
for the super waterfall
pouring lifetime a bridge
it was over 500 feet large
A partial photo
on the way to Mount Hood
after...
